Northern Weightlifting Contests
North West Schools Championships 2023 (Close Competition to North West region only - Please read entry form) The North West Schools will be held on Sunday 2nd April at Triple X, Unit6, Floor 1A, Copley Mill, St Pauls Trading Estate, Huddersfield Road, Stalybridge SK15 3DN. Lifting starts at 11am. The entry form can be downloaded below. The closing date for entries is Saturday 4th March 2023. Northern Weightlifting Calendar of Events for 2023
Due to the high cost of Living the Schools events will be run separately for each region in order to reduce the cost of the Competitions and travel expenses for the Athletes and Parents. Yorkshire Schools Venue - Featherstone Date - 25th March 2023
North East Schools Venue - Spartan Performance Date - 25th April 2023
North West Counties Schools Venue - Triple X Date - April NWL Schools Results of above 3 competitions to be added together.
North West Counties U13 Venue Triple X Date - October Yorkshire North East U13 Venue to be confirmed Date - October Bergson Trophy 2023 Venue to be confirmed Date - September BAWLA Northern Masters Venue to be confirmed Date - November
British Masters 2023 Venue - Bangor University Date - March 5,6 & 7th
European Masters 2023 Venue - Waterford, Ireland Date - May
World Masters 2023 Venue - Krakow, Poland Date - August
A number of events are still awaiting confirmation of date and venue. Whilst we will endeavour to ensure that these dates and venues do not change we reserve the right to amend or update them where circumstances dictate.
